YESTERDAY

I WOKE UP LATE FOR MEETING! Aargh. Meeting started at 12pm and i woke up at... 12pm. To be exact, 11.50++am. Benjamin n ZP asked where i was.

They started the meeting 1st cuz i was still eating my brunch at the table. Sighh. Then ZP n ZL n their dad were clearing the stuff and i felt so guilty, just eating there while they cleared the table...

During the meeting we evaluated on the last 3 months' programs. I was still abit dazed so i just sat there and didn't comment.
Next was evaluation on committee members. Eek.
Aft that we decided who would be the next chairman n stuff in the committee. After much debate, we came to a conclusion that ZL would be the next chairman! It's time to show your leadership qualities! ZP and Jeanell (newly appointed to the committee) and i were to be nxt yr's grp leaders. Yay.

Ended the meeting at 4+pm. Then tuanqi people started flooding into ZP's house. Suddenly so many people lah. But thankfully ZP's house is big enough for all of them to fit in =). We sat in a circle and shared on what we are thankful for. Quite meaningful, and i learnt new things. I also regretted not sharing to them other stuff i wanna be thankful to the Lord. To summarize it, I just wanna thank God for everything. Everything that's happened to me; good things, bad things. They're all experiences in life.
Another Church we visited
Aft that we took a group photo, then it's... EATING TIME! Wheeee~ We had.. i mean, I had sushi, mashed potatoes (i kept calling them mashmallows -.-), chicken, more chicken from KFC, satay (i had 6) and many more i guess, but i just can't remember.

CP and CY left 1st cuz they were to have dinner at their gran's house. Then slowly, more and more people left. It was around 7pm when Titia, ZP, Jeanell and i went down to watch the guys play soccer. The rest came down afterwards. I found it quite amusing, cuz they were playing soccer at the basketball court, and the floor was wet so the guys, esp ZL, kept slipping. HA. Somemore soccer wasn't allowed there lah.

Aft awhile the 4 of us went back to ZP's house. I played Ye Qu for them. lol.. I'm so proud of myself. I can actually remember the whole song! But there's still much room for improvement.
Then we went 2 ZP's room to play com. Showed them a few funny vids. Cursed the internet connection. ~Damn you, taiwan earthquake!~ Aft that, gave up on watching vids and i decided to try playing this Audition SEA game everyone's been talking about. I rmbered Joy asking me to try it out, so i did, on that very night.
We had fun making passwords and usernames, trying to remember passwords and user names, hahaha ;)

Kept laughing lor. Then when the game actually started i was like "omigoosh, what to do, what to do???" Thankfully ZP knew abit to the game so it started off pretty well. Then i started to get the hang of it, and let Titia n Jeanell try in a few rounds. So funny lar. Then after that it was my turn.
THE FINISHING MOVE WAS SO COOL! For a newbie like me, aquiring the finishing move was taking one big step towards achievement. Lol.. Then Titia n ZP started 2 get so nervous, they kept screaming LOL lar! Den i told them i was so nervous i couldn't beathe. Joan, Joan, Joan. It's just a game! But sometimes, it makes you get so agitated you simply freak out. So we, or rather, Titia n ZP, was like "THE FINISHING MOVE, THE FINISHING MOVE! OH OH OH OH OH GOGOGOGOOGO.... WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!" The woo part was damn loud, cuz i joined in the craziness. BECAUSE I MANAGED 2 COMPLETE THE FINISHING MOVE not once, but thrice during my stay at ZP's house! WOOOOOOOO!
ZP's mom had to come in a few times to tell us to keep our voice down, lols.
I'm definitely gonna play that game again... IF i have the time to. And Titia wants to play it too ^^

This guy, Bruce, lost his job, and it seemed like the whole world's against him. Den he met this God, who imparted his skills to him. So he became Bruce Almighty, den he realised dat he could do anything he likes. So this scene shows him goin back to that company where he got retrenched, n decided 2 take revenge on his rival. Woohoo. So funny can. Watch out for this "mmmmmm Doodoocacabooboo" and "snggleboulegelehar PEE PEE!"

Finished one n 3/4 ws. I'M SO PROUD OF MYSELF! Den went 2 Cafe Galilee 2 eat. Mus say the spagetti quite nice, but abit 2 ex.

Met them at Singapore Post ther. Toked 4 awhile b4 we went our separate ways. I went wif Lyn, Joy n HY 2 eat dinner. Ate Chicken 'hotplate'. 4got wad it's called, but Joy calls it "Hotplate". Korean style, wif Kim Chi n Gang huh gia. Den bought Lychee Drink. It's still in my room.

Took MRT home, toked alot, as usual.
When i reached the doorstep, i realized that ther wer 3 or 4 extra pairs of shoes. Den i remembered... My sis' fren's r here. Humbug. Doin wad project thingy. Playing, most likely. I jus heck cared them (they wer so damn noisy lar) n bathed n played the piano. Wen i wuz playing Ye Qu, someone from the room sang along. Haa

Woke up at 9.30am 2 get ready 4 training, despite having slept late, as usual. Reached late, as usual. Trained, yadayada. I also can't believe that i've not deproved aft 1 mnth of no training! Hooray 2 the consistency.
One bad thing: I've STILL haven't done my hw yet. I'm soo soo dead. But aft doin a few surveys, i found out that many ppl oso haven't done theirs altho it's nth 2 feel glad abt =.=
Ohh yes. Ytd. wad did i do ytd? I 4got.. Anyway, nth special.

2dae dad gave a sermon on the reason for us celebrating Christmas. Also cuz 5 ppl got Baptised (including CP n ET) so their relatives might be knew to this.

Aft Church went 2 Holland V 2 eat at hawker centre. Den went 2 shop 4 presents. I bought some, but haven't bought the letters yet. THANKS 2 THOSE HU GAVE ME STUFF! But it's the thought that counts so just a "God bless" or a "Merry Christmas" will do.

Then went 2 2nd Uncle (Aunt Li Zhen's husband)'s hse 2 celebrate Christmas eve. Ate HEAPS of wonderful food, eg. turkey, ham, cream potato, salad, blahblah. Then watched abit of TV b4 getting ready 2 sing Christmas songs n watch my little cousins perform various performances. They were all so cute! N Shu Ya's rendition of Ariel (The Little Mermaid) wuz a hit. One of the cousins played on the piano. Sigh, i shld've played, but i couldn't rmb the notes.. SIGHHHH. Ye Qu could've sounded pretty nice on Uncle's piano...

Anyway, Merry Christmas 2 all, n hav a happy new year. GOD BLESS!

I'M BACK FROM SOAR CAMP! ok, it ain't a gud thing 2 b home, cuz it reminds me of the hw i've nt done. All in all, the camp wuz fun. I made new friends and learnt new stuff, which is beneficial to me.

Day 1
S'posed 2 reach by 1pm, but wuz still considering abt it, n Ben asked me 2 come at 2pm instead. Plus, i've nt even packed my stuff yet! ok, so reached at 2pm, just in time for the 1st talk of the day. Zhi Li lao shi had 2 grps build a structure dat is tall n could support the box. Our team won. Mwahahaha. Then wuz bbq. aft that My dad gave a talk on 恩赐, which means 'Grace' in eng. Each n everyone of us was bewstowed this gift from God. It's onli a matter of how u use that spiritual gift. Something like talent.

Paul: "We have different gifts, according to the grace given to us" (Romans 12:6)

If u read further, u will get 2 noe some of these gifts. Eg. the gift to
- Prophesize (how 2 spell?)
- Serve others
- Teach
- Encourage and/or console
- Share
- Lead
- b kind

Of course, these are translated from the Chinese version. So 2 get a more accurate meaning read Romans chap 12.

Another question; Knowledge and Wisdom. Wad's the diff?
Both of them are gifts from God, but knowledge is something u accumulate by learning, while wisdom comes with experiences in life. Aiya, the notes i made aren't gud. But my mom said "Knowledge is what you know, wisdom is what you do." O....k... weird. I mean, u gotta hand it to her cuz her eng isn't as gud as mine (ellohell) and for someone who's Chinese educated 2 come up wif this explanation is satisfying enuff.

Day 2
Woke up at a freakin 7am. Had Physical Training at 7.30am. Wuz some kinda weird exercise. Then went 2 hawker centre 2 eat breakfast. Shared wif Billy abt my trip 2 the Himalayas. Then went 2 carpark garden 2 ling xiu but it rained, unfortunately. So had 2 walk all the way back. -.-
Den Rev. Wu spoke 2 us abt personalities. Quite "Rewarding". Shld test it on some ppl when schl reopenes, heheh. Yep, played games. Then wuz another talk by Zhi Li lao shi. Then it wuz time 2 get wet. Played game wif water bombs n water pistols. So fun la. But dunno who suddenly appeared out of the kitchen n poured water all over me. Everyone got drenched. Those hu didn't wer chased by us. Heh.
We played 3 games in one day. Siao lol. Then aft bathing got movie marathon. We brought our sleeping bags 2 rm H. But no one's allowed 2 sleep ther. Onli watch movie until nxt morn. Siao rite? But that's wad we did.
1st movie: Bruce Almighty (something to do wif God)
2nd: The Incredibles (Watch until sian, even tho the baby's cute. 3rd time watching that movie)
3rd: Rush Hour 2 (I onli managed 2 watch abit b4 dozing off, lol)
Watch until 4smth am b4 goin back 2 bed. Wooh.

Day 3
8am wake up. We made our own Camp shirts using the equips Billy brought. Quite cool lor. Then all the girls wore the shirts for the singing n debriefing.

My mom said they're giving me a surprise. Dunno la. they're acting so secretive... I mean, it's not as if it's my b'dae. Anyway, i feel so bad, not helping. haha. I think they're MAKING a cake. Still waiting for them 2 arrive. Dey told me they missed the stop! Mwahahaha. Sad. no log cake. Just.. cake. Ugh. n i'm supposed 2 pay my share. Despite having bought $20+ worth of snacks n drinks n making Shephard's pie n chicken wing. I bet they din bring anything except for the.. cake. Nothing's ever right when i'm with them. Nothing.

I like rainy days. Kinda gives me the melancholy mood. Sometimes i jus go downstairs n watch the scenery. But 2dae seems kinda... sad. Didn't go 2 orchard 2 help KT get her 8 days. Didn't feel like goin out. Jus stayed at home n chatted n watched TV. sighh, the sianess.

I actually told MerMaid 2 get us the 3.05pm ticket. but changed it to 4.25pm. Reached Orchard (at last), n walked for v v long. Dunno wad got into me but i got off at Orchard mrt instead of Somerset o.0
2 in one lehh! a pity i got it all on vid...
Den dunno wher i walk to. Got lost ALOT of times. went into 3 wrong buildings, despite being v familiar wif Cineleisure oredy. Finally reached at... 4.25pm. Mer clan wer still eating at Yoshinoya. Sooo, i decided 2 buy my, *ahem* lunch, n finished it, 2 the shocked face of MerMaid. She has obviously nvr seen me eat that fast b4. n MerMan din noe how 2 eat the ice cream doghnut! lol, had 2 cut it into pieces wif a spoon. Got the 4.55pm ticket, lol, at last. Went 2 Cheers 2 buy some snacks 2 smuggle in. Stuffed them in MerMaid's big dull bag.

Ok. here's my comments abt the movie. I personally thought that the book wuz better, cuz the director simply had 2 leave out not some, but MANY parts, some of which wer important, n the movie wuz different from the novel to a medium extent. Quite disappointed. I felt that it wuz v rushed, n it seemed 2 me as if everything happened in one day.

Aft movie walked 2 eat at Food Republic. Saw some 'roman soldiers' n others parade the streets. Also saw some exhibitions of Jesus' birth. Mary wif Joseph in the sty(dunno wad it's called in eng), 3 wise men n Jesus in 'cot'. Pigs, cows, etcetc. There's gonna b some parade on the 25th Dec. Apparantly, mermaid n merman wanna watch, since their families dun celebrate Christmas.

Arrived home at last at i think 9pm, wif wet hair. So much for strolling along Orchard road on a rainy day, without n umbrella.

Pee ass (PS lahh), the pics wer taken from an ameteur photographer, my wee lil sis. Soo, pardon her inexperience. It's really a shame s i took the whole journey in vid. n the mountaineering institute wuz amazing. Learnt that Tenzing Norgay was the 1st person, wif Sir Bolund(i think i got that right) Hillary, 2 successfully climb 2 the summit of Mt Everest. Then, they showed us the tools he used, his boots, his pick axe, his sun glasses(at that time ther was oni sunglasses), etcetc. den learnt how the pick axe evolved 2 the tool dat's used 2dae. quite interesting.

YTD WAS AWESOME!!!!!!!! TOTALLY. aft the performance, i sent sms 2 my friends hu had performed, telling them they were... awesome lah. haha. then all of their replies wer "thx!!! blahblah" at least one "!" lol. could tell dey had a great time on stage s i had off stange. Sat in the 1st row cuz dad got priviledge mah. N the funny thing wuz dat wen i saw KT on stage, she started smiling real broadly n i had 2 surpress/supress (wadever) my laughter n point her out 2 my sis. LOL now, haha
Titia wuz GREAT. wif her new look 2 boot. new hairstyle s well! i mean, all wer wonderful, but she stole the limelight. Of cos dis is all abt God (EVERYTHING IS), but u can't miss out talents esp Titia n YT. quote from YT's sms "Dance for the Lord!"
Moses Lim also came 2 share his experiences of being a Christian, along wif 3 others whom i noe. He wuz funny, n spoke wif ease. i kept laughing. i dunno y. he's really great at stage presentations, n he came 2 encourage ppl 2 come 2 my church 2 learn more abt this great God that we have.

I shall type this for non-christians 2 read, but Christians MUST read it from the Holy Bible cuz we hav 2 develop a habit of reading it (duhh, altho i'm TRYING 2 adopt the habit). AARGH i can't find the eng bible! i'm so sry. i might type it out some day wen i find my eng bible. cuz i'm using the chinese one.

Sis bought High School Musical cd for me. Aww, how sweet. Wuz planning 2 watch it on morn of Christmas day but she wuz the one hu opened it. N she watched it. Blah. I thought she bought it for me?? So bad. Hah.
Learnt how 2 play Ye Qu n Shan Hu Hai n one of Stef Sun's song on piano. Of cos, learnt it all by myself la. Duhhhhh. ;)

Ytd read Eldest (bk 1 is Eragon) until 4.30am. Den woke up a few hrs later feeling frozen. Aft awhile suddenly sweat. Den the nxt, i'm feeling s if i've stepped into the North pole. Brrr. Woke up at 10.30am feeling numb. My hands wer sweating alot, n wen i stood up 2 ans lyn's call, my whole body became sweaty. Wen i walked 2 get a cup of water, i felt nauseous n dizzy. My head hurts, my legs can't carry me v far, n my eyes r sore. Got fever lorr. Wad els. 38.8 deg. celcius. Nt bad, considering the las time i had fever the temp. rose up 2 39. smth deg. I seriously NEED 2 rest. Hav a break, hav a kitkat! (Ok, now that's lame)

Discover the 90/10 Principle. It will change your life (at least the way you react to situations). What is this principle?
10% of life is made up of what happens to you. 90% of life is decided by how you react. What does this mean? We really have no control over 10% of what happens to us. We cannot stop the car from breaking down. The plane will be late arriving, which throws our whole schedule off. A driver may cut us off in traffic. We have no control over this 10%. The other 90% is different.
You determine the other 90%. How?
By your reaction. You cannot control a red light, but you can control your reaction. Don't let people fool you; YOU can control how you react.
Let's use an example.
You are eating breakfast with your family. Your daughter knocks over a cup of coffee onto your business shirt. You have no control over what just what happened. What happens when the next will be determined by how you react. You curse. You harshly scold your daughter for knocking the cup over. She breaks down in tears. After scolding her, you turn to your spouse and criticize her for placing the cup too close to the edge of the table. A short verbal battle follows. You storm upstairs and change your shirt. Back downstairs, you find your daughter has been too busy crying to finish breakfast and get ready for school. She misses the bus. Your spouse must leave immediately for work. You rush to the car and drive your daughter to school. Because you are late, you drive 40 miles an hour in a 30 mph speed limit. After a 15-minute delay and throwing $60 traffic fine away, you arrive at school. Your daughter runs into the building without saying goodbye. After arriving at the office 20 minutes late, you find you forgot your briefcase. Your day has started terrible. As it continues, it seems to get worse and worse. You look forward to coming home, When you arrive home, you find small wedge in your relationship with your spouse and daughter.
Why?
Because of how you reacted in the morning. Why did you have a bad day?
A) Did the coffee cause it?
B) Did your daughter cause it?
C) Did the policeman cause it?
D) Did you cause it?
The answer is " D".

You had no control over what happened with the coffee. How you reacted in those 5 seconds is what caused your bad day. Here is what could have and should have happened. Coffee splashes over you. Your daughter is about to cry. You gently say, "It's ok honey, you just need, to be more careful next time". Grabbing a towel you rush upstairs. After grabbing a new shirt and your briefcase, you come back down in time to look through the window and see your child getting on the bus. She turns and waves. You arrive 5 minutes early and cheerfully greet the staff. Your boss comments on how good the day you are having.

Notice the difference?
Two different scenarios. Both started the same. Both ended different. Why? Because of how you REACTED. You really do not have any control over 10% of what happens. The other 90% was determined by your reaction.
Here are some ways to apply the 90/10 principle.

If someone says something negative about you, don't
be a sponge. Let the attack roll off like water on glass. You don't have to let the negative comment affect you! React properly and it will not ruin your day. A wrong reaction could result in losing a friend, being fired, getting stressed out etc.

How do you react if someone cuts you off in traffic?
Do you lose your temper?
Pound on the steering wheel? A friend of mine had the steering wheel fall off!
Did you curse?
Does your blood pressure skyrocket?
Do you try and bump them?
WHO CARES if you arrive ten seconds later at work?
Why let the cars ruin your drive?
Remember the 90/10 principle, and do not worry about it.
You are told you lost your job. Why lose sleep and
get irritated? It will work out. Use your worrying
energy and time into finding another job.

The plane is late; it is going to mangle your
schedule for the day. Why take out your frustration
on the flight attendant? She has no control over
what is going on. Use your time to study, get to
know the other passenger. Why get stressed out? It
will just make things worse.
Now you know the 90-10 principle. Apply it and you
will be amazed at the results. You will lose nothing
if you try it.
The 90-10 principle is incredible. Very few know
and apply this principle. The result? Millions of
people are suffering from undeserved stress, trials,
problems and heartache. There never seem to be a
success in life.
Bad days follow bad days.
Terrible things seem to be constantly happening.
There is constant stress, lack of joy, and broken
relationships. Worry consumes time.
Anger breaks friendships and life seems dreary and
is not enjoyed to the fullest. Friends are lost.
Life is a bore and often seems cruel.
Does this describe you? If so, do not be
discouraged. .

You can be different!
Understand and apply the 90/10 principle.
It CAN change your life........ .!!!!!!!

I' finally back from overseas. It's grrrreat 2 b back! Heard from M dat 2day got Sentosa outing. Dey oso jus came back. Haiz, so sian 2 c ppl enjoying themselves... I mean, i oso enjoyed lar, harhar. Gonna post some vids up. Whee! FINALLY I CAN USE THE COM!! Was deprived of any source of communication (hp, com basically) for 11 effing days. Aar, so gud 2 smell the com. *sniffs*
All in all, the trip 2 Sikkim wuz a memorable one. We stayed in Delhi, the capitol of India on the day b4 we wer scheduled 2 return. It's so diff from Sikkim lar. I love Sikkim, but... Delhi... erm. So much pollution on the roads, so much traffic n the drivers drove in a disorderly manner... The airport... OMG the airport. Sooooo many ppl. Sooo disorganised. The ppl ther attitude gt prob. Heyhey, i'm nt being racist here. So dun sue me =P. Jus stating the facts. The Sikkimese r much mor warm n friendly. Vids r comin soon once i get time 2 upload them ^^
